Shadows of the Veil
Adult romantasy
Shadows of the Veil is an Atlantis-inspired adult romantasy, set in a kingdom sealed beneath the ocean.
Twenty-year-old Ayden Sterkur wants one thing: to bring Theo, her exiled childhood love, home. But when the kingdom’s coming-of-age ritual unexpectedly declares the commoner a member of the ruling warrior caste that has oppressed her all her life, reaching him means surviving a brutal year of training.
Her commander, Zander Calderon, is dutiful yet cunning, and openly hostile toward her. When Ayden manifests a rare power unseen in generations, attempts on her life force them into increasingly dangerous proximity.
Falling for her superior could get Ayden exiled before she ever reaches Theo, destroying the only chance she has to bring him home.

-
An awesome new can't-put-down romantasy that's like Divergent meets Fourth Wing!

Hunger Games meets The Empyrean...A great page-turner if you want something light but also gripping.

I'm obsessed...I really love it and I don't read a ton of fantasy because new worlds and characters names take me a while to get into and understand.

About the Authors
E. L. Fox is the pen name of Derin, Jessica, and Mudra, three best friends with decades of friendship and a shared love of fantasy romance.
The idea for Shadows of the Veil began while they were swimming off the coast of Jamaica. Since then, it’s grown into a sweeping underwater realm shaped by travels together across five continents and the oceans between them.
The authors are based in New York City, Jersey City, and Charleston. When they’re not writing together, they’re usually planning their next getaway, rewatching their favorite shows, or sharing a bottle of whiskey.
The name E. L. Fox is a tribute to the three dogs they love most: Ellie, Lottie, and Mr. Fox.
